Technical Superintendents are each allocated a group of three to five vessels and are responsible for monitoring the vessels’ condition and all aspects of their performance and operation, including:
- Safe and efficient cargo handling and conditioning
- Planned and project maintenance
- Regular condition assessment
- Dry dock planning and supervision
- Budget control
- Certification and vetting
Commercial
Our commercial department is staffed by a highly qualified team of in-house brokers and operators with extensive experience. They closely monitor the commercial performance of managed vessels and manage the commercial risks faced by our customers in the course of employment of their vessels. They are involved in vessel’s activities and operation all along the way.
Crewing and Training Commitment
The best ship management services depend on the finest crews – which is why we place the greatest possible emphasis on selecting, training and retraining high-calibre seafarers. Therefore, we consider it to be our most important duty to monitor training requirements and educate our crews in a modern, sophisticated ship management environment before joining a vessel and while on board.
For many years Transka has hosted deck and engine cadets as part of their officer education and training programs. As a company, we accommodate over 20 cadets each year.
